Wine lovers, listen up! The world-renowned magazine, Wine Spectator, unveiled in November their list of the top 100 wines and we are thrilled to announce that two Galician wines have made the cut.
Coming in at number 74 is the Bodegas Terras Gauda Rías Baixas O Rosal. This white wine, which is a blend of Albariño, Caíño Blanco, and Loureiro grapes, received 90 points from the experts. Priced at just 15 euros per bottle in amazon, this wine is described as having “delicate notes of fresh herbs and wet stone” and is produced just 50 kilometers from the city of Vigo.
And it doesn’t stop there, also at number 70 we find Avancia Godello Valdeorras. This elegant wine, made from the Godello grape, is praised for its “vein of saltiness” that accentuates its creamy texture and flavors of pink grapefruit, cherry blossom, Marcona almond, and blood orange peel. Priced at 36 euros per bottle, it’s a steal for such a high-quality wine.
It’s worth noting that out of the 100 wines on the list, only five are Spanish, making these two Galician wines truly stand out among the best in the world.
